WiFi "KRACK" Vulnerability

In this day and age of IT system breaches and vulnerabilities, WiFi with the latest encryption (WPA2 AES) was thought to be safe. No longer, a vulnerability dubbed "KRACK" has been identified, which makes it possible for data transmitted from WiFi client to WiFi access point to be captured and read.

What can be done about this? Already manufacturers have brought out fixes for their WiFi access points, but the real problem lies at the client end. So, make sure to keep your devices WiFi software updated and if your are sending sensitive data over WiFi, use VPN software to encrypt your data. You don't have to have access to VPN router, there are cloud services out there and some internet security packages have VPN Apps.
